Dr. Rudasill has served as a dedicated faculty member and leader in the VCU School of Education since 2018. Her tenure includes roles as interim dean and senior associate dean, where she demonstrated visionary leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a steadfast commitment to VCU’s core values. Her efforts to build a culture of trust, open communication, and mutual respect have been recognized and celebrated by her colleagues.

Dr. Rudasill holds a Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Virginia, has authored over 70 peer-reviewed journal articles, and served as PI, Co-PI, or Co-I on external grants totaling over $5.5M. Her research has significantly contributed to the fields of educational psychology and child development. Furthermore, she has presented her work at more than 70 national and international conferences, showcasing her commitment to advancing knowledge and practice in education.

She serves on the editorial review boards of four journals, and is a member of the Society for Research in Child Development, the American Educational Research Association, and a fellow in the American Psychological Association, Division 7.
