- Recommendations for AI tools to help you teach
- Several tools can help you generate materials for the classroom, such as lesson plans, activity sheets, and even syllabus language. There’s an AI for That (Teaching Tools) is an AI aggregator that maintains one of the most up-to-date and comprehensive lists of AI-related tools on the internet. This collection focuses on teaching and learning tools, and includes information such as descriptions, reviews, user-friendliness, pricing, and pros and cons of each resource.
- Recommendations for teaching with AI in the classroom
- Many instructors are now integrating and experimenting with AI tools in their classrooms. Faculty are encouraged and supported in these efforts. If you are looking for a place to start, we might recommend UCF’s open educational resource, “ChatGPT Assignments to Use in Your Classroom Today” (Yee et al., 2023) which also includes useful strategies that apply across many different types of GenAI resources.
- Recommendation for critical approaches to teaching and learning with AI
- We acknowledge that the concerns of many faculty around the topic of ethics and AI, extend far beyond the classroom. Engaging with these questions about the ethical implications of these tools can be a valuable learning experience for students and faculty, alike. We recommend the AI Pedagogy Project from metaLAB (at) Harvard, which is designed for instructors looking to engage in creative but critical ways with AI in their teaching.
